How do I setup my email account in Outlook?

First, you must ensure that your mail account is setup on the server. For assistance click here.

Once you have done this, you will need to create an account in a mail client, such as Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express.

Microsoft Outlook
  1. Go to the Tools menu.
  2. Select E-mail Accounts.
  3. Select Add a new e-mail accounts and click Next.
  4. Select POP3 and click Next.
  5. Enter the following account information.
    • Your Name: Enter your first and last name.
    • E-mail Address: Enter your e-mail address.
    • User Name: Enter your full e-mail address, again.
    • Password: Enter the password you set up for your e-mail account.
      NB: This is the password you assigned to your account that you set up on the server.
    • Incoming mail server (POP3): Enter mail.yourdomain.com.au
      e.g. mail.bottledomains.com.au.
    • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): Enter your ISP''s Outgoing Mail server.
      e.g. mail.bigpond.com. If you are not sure of this setting, you will need to contact your ISP.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Click Finish.
Outlook Express
  1. Go to the Tools menu.
  2. Select Accounts.
  3. Select the Mail tab.
  4. Click the Add button, then
    Mail.
  5. Enter the following account information.
    • Display Name: Enter your first and last name.
    • E-mail Address: Enter your e-mail address.
    • POP3 server.
    • Incoming mail server (POP3): Enter mail.yourdomain.com.au
      e.g. mail.bottledomains.com.au.
    • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): Enter your ISP''s Outgoing Mail server.
      e.g. mail.bigpond.com. If you are not sure of this setting, you will need to contact your ISP.
    • Account Name: Enter your full e-mail address.
    • Password: Enter the password you set up for your e-mail account.
      NB: This is the password you assigned to your account that you set up on the server.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Click Finish.
NOTE: These steps will vary between different software versions. It may require you to search your email client’s help facility.

Other mail clients

Enter the following account information.
  • Your Name: Enter your first and last name.
  • E-mail Address: Enter your e-mail address.
  • User Name: Enter your full e-mail address.
  • Password: Enter the password you set up for your e-mail account.
    NB: This is the password you assigned to your account that you set up on the server.
  • Incoming mail server (POP3): Enter mail.yourdomain.com.au
    e.g. mail.bottledomains.com.au.
  • Outgoing mail server (SMTP): Enter your ISP''s Outgoing Mail server.
    e.g. mail.bigpond.com. If you are not sure of this setting, you will need to contact your ISP.
Once you have done this, you should be ready to go. Please repeat these steps for all of your requested email address''.
