How do I update the name servers for my domain?
If you update your name servers you''re changing the direction your domain points from its existing server to a new one. To do this you need to complete the following.
- Log in to your Domain Management area by entering your username and password in the ''Members Login'' area to the right of each page. Or go directly to www.bottledomains.com.au/manage.
- Select My Domains.
- Click on the domain name you wish to update.
- Click the Domain Name domainname.com.au and on the next screen
Click on the button Manager Nameservers
- This will ask for a Primary and Secondary Nameserver. The name servers will probably be in the form of ns1.yourhost.com.au and ns2.yourhost.com.au.
If you are unsure of your name servers, please log a support ticket.
- Click Update. Our system will save your new details. If you require further information, please contact us.
Redelegation usually takes 24-72 hours to be visible on the web.
You must enter at least two nameservers for your domain for it to be active.
